Sweet Talker.

About half of the time lately Brett has been home late.  All for different reasons, this week it was a basketball game Monday, HOA Board Meeting tonight, Basketball game tomorrow night, etc.  Not complaining because Brett has been amazing at juggling both kids and working in the morning while I go to the gym.  Brayden knows this is his chance to push off bedtime.  We typically have dinner, bath time and bedtime.  ONE time I put Sienna to bed and I let Brayden stay up and watch Dancing with the Stars.  He remembered.  Now, when Brett is gone and I am getting him ready for bed, he will sometimes ask to watch Dancing with the Stars.

Tonight, as he was getting dried off and into jammies, he looked into my eyes and smiled and asked, "let's make popcorn and watch dancing with the stars Mom."  He continued with offering to make popcorn and put the sea salt ("see saw") on it.  (We put olive oil and sea salt on our popcorn)

How could I say no to that?  Brayden will do anything to get out of bedtime.   He even, for the FIRST time ever, looked at the camera and smiled.  (Most of my pictures of him smiling involve me doing something completely ridiculous in order to get him to laugh)

The Brayden Show. Playing daily in the backyard.

It's definitely not summer, but it is sunny.  The kids have been bundling up and enjoying the backyard.  It's so nice because Brayden basically runs around and plays and Sienna bounces and watches him in her jumper!  They have a good time.

A few pictures from last week...

A Quick Getaway.

I believe a vacation is a getaway without kids.
A trip is a getaway with kids.

A week or so ago we took a fun trip with some friends!  Our friends discovered this cute little house for a great deal in Seaside.  We were just a few houses from the beach and a few blocks from the town.  It was nice to be out on the wide open beach!  All bundled up we got to run around with Brayden.  It was also so fun to just hang with friends!  I lived with both of my girlfriends that went, so it felt really normal to be in one house.  A little different than when we used to live together though, we have added husbands and three kids to the group!

Some pictures.

"More Water Please!" "Thank You Mom!"

As Brayden's vocabulary expands, so are his manners.

This afternoon he woke up from his nap and within 10 minutes said, "Hey Brandy, let's go outside!"  (Sounds more like, "Hey Banny, Les go owside!").  After a short while I get a request, "Hi Mom, more water please?" and he is pointing to his spray bottle.  Who knows why he loves to walk around the yard and spray things with water, but when you are two years old, this is a good time.  I fill it with water and he says, "Oh thank you mom!"  This is something he has really learned to do, without being told, over the last few months.  Melts my heart!

I went to take a picture of my funny little boy with his water bottle.  I said, "Bray, show Mom how you spray your water bottle!"

Yep, I got sprayed...  LOL!  :)  I guess I asked for it.

Uncle Brett & Auntie Jill

In just over 7 weeks Brett & I get to start playing the fun role of Uncle Brett & Auntie Jill!  We can hardly wait.  Brayden is very excited, as he LOVES all babies.   Sienna doesn't know it yet, but I have told her that Avery (our nieces name) is already her BFF.  :)

Here is a picture of my sister and I.  Her with her baby girl belly and I with my baby girl on my belly.

As we were sitting here talking about Avery's arrival I told her, "I am excited now, starting to be anxious..."  And then the only word I that I could use to describe the feeling I will have as May 27th draws close is... "crazy and attached to my phone waiting for the call!"

Julie's response was, "I have felt that way, twice!"

Some more pictures that Auntie Juju took throughout the evening...

Good Morning Giggles!

Sienna loves to giggle.

This morning she found the crinkling of the empty trash bag absolutely hilarious.
