Brayden loves Bebo!

Well since Brayden was born, Bebo (Jill's Dad) has been trying to get a smile, eye contact or anything to bond with him.  Bebo has not been that lucky.  About a week ago he finally got eye contact with Brayden.  The corners of Brayden's lips slowly turned into a frown and he started crying!  It took about 20 minutes to calm Brayden down from the trauma.  Finally, Bebo took a hint from Greg.  Greg told Dad, "He loves it when I move my eyebrows up and down, try it!"

So Bebo tried it and it worked!  Here is a video of Brayden and Bebo bonding for the first time!

Jill's Birthday!

On Saturday it was my birthday!  We had such fun day!  I woke up to Brett making French Toast and a latte.  We enjoyed the morning and watched a movie and then headed to the mall.  Brayden got his picture taken with Santa!

After that we spent the evening with my family.  We first went to dinner, then went back to Mom and Dad's.  Uncle Greg has always been really into Brayden and now that Brayden is more interactive, he is REALLY into Uncle Greg!  Greg has such big features that all he has to do is make a face or move and eyebrow and Brayden is sure to start laughing!  It's really cute!

Scrooge!

Thanks to Uncle Jacob for inviting us to the Annual Scrooge Night!  We had fun!

Walking in a winter wonderland...

Fun Snow Day!

We have been loving the winter weather!  The other day we got out and went for a walk in our new neighborhood.  There is a green belt that goes through our neighborhood and trails that lead through it.  Towards one end of our neighborhood is a trail that leads directly to Chambers Elementary School.  They have a huge baseball field that is perfect for playing fetch with Brandy (our golden retriever).  It was a pretty walk through the trees too!

I was kinda worried that Bray was going to get cold, but when we got home and thawed out in front of the fire we took him out of his baby bjorn and found him to be quite toasty!

Two Month Checkup

On December 11th Brayden had his two month check up!  He is getting so big!  He is 24 inches long and 12 pounds 5 ounces.  He is still 90 percentile for height, but now he is 75 percentile for weight (up from 50th when he was one month).

We are very happy that he is one healthy baby boy!

Since his one month he has become so much more interactive and loves "conversations" and little games that we play with him.  His smile and laugh is so precious and we can't get enough of it.  He is the funniest little person!  We are just in love...  =)

A few of Brayden's favorite things...

Brayden is growing and changing everyday!  We just can't believe it!  He has outgrown all of his newborn clothes.  He is smiling so much now and we just love to hear him "talk" and laugh.  Mostly what he has to say is "goo" or something similar.  =)  He also discovered how to move his hand to his mouth.  We don't have a thumb sucker on our hands, but we do have a "fist sucker"!  We catch him a couple times a day trying to stick his whole fist in his mouth!

Below is a picture of him in his crib.  If you look to the left of the picture you can see a toy that he has.  It lights up and has characters that move and it plays a song.  Many times I have caught him smiling and giggling by himself in his room with this toy!

Here is a picture of Brett, Brayden, Brandy and myself on a walk.  Bray LOVES going for walks or just riding in his stroller (which makes for fun trips to the mall while dad is at work!)  =)

Auntie Julie and Uncle Jacob bought Bray a fun mat to play on.  He has fun learning how to move and touch things on this!

Bray LOVES bath time!  He can be fussing and as soon as he sits in that warm water he is so content!  We are excited to take him to Hawaii next month to see what he thinks of the pool!

Below is a picture of Bray in his swing!  This was an amazing discovery a few weeks ago.  Our friends Rachel and Kevin let us use theirs and we found that Bray just loves to swing in it.  (No clothes because I was getting a bath ready for him, but he was just too cute to not take a picture of!)

Brayden's First Thanksgiving!

Brayden had a wonderful 1st Thanksgiving!  We enjoyed a good dinner at Grandparent's Mark and Elaine's.  Then we went over to say hello to Uncle Greg, Uncle Jacob and Auntie Julie at Grammy and Bebo's and to play poker!  =)

Brayden at JC Higgins!

Today was fun because Brayden and I were invited to the Thanksgiving lunch at Brett's work, JC Higgins.  Brayden got lots of attention and had a good time!  Below is a picture of the proud papa and Bray at his desk.  =)

"First" birthday party!

Last Sunday we had a party with the Putnam side of the family.  

We celebrated fall birthdays so technically Brayden fit into that category!

He was the star of the show and was so spoiled with love the whole day!

Brayden's First Movie!

Last Saturday Bray was treated to his first movie!  I don't think he knows that he even went because he slept the whole time (woohoo!) but none the less it was his first movie and we got to enjoy the whole thing!  We went up to Seattle and watched the Warren Miller Ski Movie to get ready for the season.  We had a fun time hanging out and having dinner at Auntie Julie's ahead of time too!

Bray's One Month Dr. Appoinment

Dad and Bray's first night without Mom!  The did a good job during the first half of my night out.  However, halfway through I got a panicked call from Brett with Bray crying in the background.  I told Brett to swaddle and rock Bray and that I was on my way home.  When I came in the door they were both sleeping on the couch (see picture below).  Needless to say, we are taking "baby steps" to having Brett and Bray stay home alone together.  =)

Brayden's Newborn Photo Shoot

When Brayden was exactly two weeks old we had a newborn photo shoot!  It was so fun because he was so happy throughout it all and gave us lots of good shots!  We love that we were able to capture some of his many faces and expressions that he is making.   We are just soaking up every movement and getting more and more smiles everyday!  Also, we are starting to get more "baby talk".  It is just intentional noise that Bray is making while making eye contact with us.  Its so sweet and we just can't get enough of it!
