A Little Carving & A First Step!

Last weekend was the Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest!

Brett carved one for himself (the one below Julie) and I carved one for myself (cat below Grandma) and one for Bray (smiley one next to Kristina).   Brayden enjoyed all the attention and also all the toys!  Grammy kept Uncle Greg's Duplo's in a big tub and Bray seemed to enjoy the tub as much as the toys!  (Scroll to the last pictures)

Not only did we have a fabulous time with the family, Brayden also took his first little step!

He has been standing independently for a while now.  Just in the last few days he would stand and kinda roll onto his toes.  Finally, on Sunday night he brought one little foot forward.  We tried to recreate it for the movie camera, but no such luck.

Marking it on the baby chart, One Year and Two Weeks Old = First Step!
Exact same timing as his Mama...  =)

Perfect Fall Day

Not only did we have a super fun day (last Saturday), we also had the best photographer in the world to capture it all for us!

Thanks for the pictures Kik!

A long week...

I don't know if you can tell in this picture below, but I can tell in Bray's eyes that he isn't feeling the best.  Our little boy had his first fever last week.  Being one year old is tough!  He came down with a cold on Monday and so he spent the entire week at home...  As you can see in the picture below, he was still able to keep busy!  But every 20 minutes or so he would need some snuggles and want me to hold him.  Needless to say it was a long week for us both!  Luckily, we had plans every night from except for Tuesday.  Monday we had friends over, Wednesday Brett and I went to an Alumni dinner, Thursday I was out to dinner with some girlfriends, so I can't complain too much.  However our little guy stayed inside and rested lots and was better by Friday!  Just in time for the weekend!

Grammy was over to watch him on Wednesday and let him take out all the pots and pans.  It became sort of a game.  Since then, his interest in cabinet opening has tripled!  Time to go stock up on baby proofing items...  =)

Baby B turns 1!

Brayden had a perfect 1st birthday party!  Almost 40 family members and friends came out to show love to our little guy.  Everything went smoothly and Bray had a blast!

Below is a picture of him with his first birthday present, a car from Grandpa and Grandma Overfield...

Happy Birthday to Brayden!

(He is a little scared and confused with having quite a crowd of people singing at him.  Not to mention all the cameras flashing.)

MMM...  Cake!

Lots of fun toys, books and clothes!

Shout out to my party planning friends!  They spent the evening before the party hanging out with us and helping me make food and get ready.

Our One Year Old

I don't think we really knew how fast a year could go until now!

We are not "technically" celebrating his birthday until next weekend.  He is having his big 1st birthday party then.  However, he enjoyed the actual day very much!

Started with the church nursery (one of his FAVORITE places).  This kid is serious about the nursery!  As soon as he is in there, he is off and playing!  After that it was time to come home and rest.  Brett went to the Seahawks game with Dad and some family friends, so Grammy (Debbie) and Grandma (Lois) took Brayden shopping for his birthday!  Grandma got him some very nice shoes, to help him as he begins to walk.  Grammy got him some fun toys!  Later on in the evening our friend Jake made us a delicious dinner.  We enjoyed the company of Jake, Quincy and Kristina.  Bray was definitely a busy boy at their house and enjoyed wrestling with Quincy and watching their dogs outside.

Here is a little peak of Brayden's first year and first birthday...
