Quick Dance Lesson from Brayden

Month O' Birthdays! Featuring Brayden.... :)

May is always busy with family celebrations of birthdays! Within a two week span we have all four parent's birthdays. More and more now we are realizing how much attention Brayden is getting and how much he is just soaking it up! He is such a social little funny man!

Two weekends ago we enjoyed having the Overfield's over as well as Brett's Grandma who just moved up from California. Last weekend we had the Bodine celebration with also Grandma & Papa. Uncle Dan, Auntie Karin & Joel joined us for desert too! Then also a birthday lunch for Mom with the girls.

Every birthday candle is given to Brayden to blow out, he just loves all the singing too!

I just love this picture! Papa was feeding him his bottle before bedtime and I caught both of them giving kisses to Brayden. I had them re-enact it for this precious photo op! A few more months and then he gets to share the spotlight!

A birthday lunch for Grammy!

Once again, Brayden was sung to and got to blow out "his" candles! :)

Walking to go get cupcakes with Grandma & Grammy. Along the way he pointed out every truck, car, duck, birdie, etc.

He is such a joy and loves to be around people, say "hi!", give hugs and kisses, etc. I am sure that even when he shares his spotlight, he will still get PLENTY of attention. :)

A Tough Day to be One & a Half...

Brayden had his 18 month check-up last week. Let's just say he is starting to remember what happens at the doctor's office, always a poke at the end!

As soon as the nurse came in he was hysterically crying, "Mama!" with very dramatic sobs. Did his best to even refuse being measured or weighed. Poor little guy made it through appointment and was very happy to have it all over and done with...

One of the first friends I chatted with on the phone when we heard we were having a girl was my good friend Stacy! We were so excited because it was just a few months earlier she had called me after their ultrasound to say they were having a girl!

Welcome baby Samantha Jean Rody! Born Friday, May 14th!

A Wonderful Day to be a Mom!

Being that Brayden is too young to understand Mother's Day, Brett took really good care of me. Started with a latte and our traditional Sunday morning breakfast, Dutch Babies! Except for normally I am the one up early making them. On Mother's Day I woke up to a clean kitchen and dutch babies made by Brett!

Followed by church and then a wonderful lunch at Mom & Dad's. All done by Brett & all the non-mother's of the family.

After church Brett bought me my favorite beverage, a Starbuck's Vivanno... Then someone coaxed me into the back seat to share... :)

Cafe Kristina: There's a Bun in the Oven!

What a fun way to show our excitement for Michael & Kristina's little one on the way!

Quincy & I threw a maternity shower for her last weekend. The theme was "Cafe Kristina: There's a Bun in the Oven". We set up our dining room as if it was a little cafe and served prepared plates of yummy brunch food.

So fun to see my college roomie Lizzy on our flight! She was on her way to LA to visit some family. They just moved up to Seattle and we are beyond thrilled that all four California college roomies from APU are all living in Washington now, it's just as it should be! :) Her little baby girl, Ashby, was a perfect little traveler too, so cute!

Every morning we never needed an alarm. Brayden was awake, happy and ready to go! He ran over to Julie's bed and said, "Juju? Juju? Juju?" until she woke up and was ready to play with him.

So funny to see my "not so little" little brother in a twin bunk bed at his apartment! Amazingly he said he has not hit his head on the top bunk once!

My little boy LOVED the rainforest cafe! Especially after we took a tour and saw all the monkeys, elephants and fish!
