Happy Father's Day Brett!

Happy Father's Day Brett!!!

Brayden and I made this video for Brett. Well, I made it, but Brayden sat on my lap and enjoyed watching me make it. :)

Check it out on YouTube (File was too large to upload).

Mama & Bray, Quality Time.

Brett left on Wednesday to go watch our cousin, Andrew Putnam, play in the U.S. Open (Golf Tournament)! What an exciting week! So fun that Brett was able to go, exciting that Andrew made it to the US Open and that our little bro, Greg, was able to caddy for him. Brett went down to California, along with Mom, Dad, Papa (my mom's Dad), our aunt & uncle, cousins, family friends, etc.

Bray and I made the most of our time together! Here are a few of the things we did to keep busy while we were missing Dada.

My shopping buddy & I went to the Southcenter after dropping Brett off at the airport. We found some really cute things for "little sister", enjoyed splitting a Starbucks Smoothie & playing in the mall's playground (minus the time where Bray found a lollipop under a seat and stuck it in his mouth, yuck!).

To end our trip, we stopped by Borders to pick out a book. He REALLY liked all the books with wheels on them! He picked one about trucks...

We enjoyed a fun day at the park with friends! I only have pictures of him when he is in the car, because that is the only time he was really still. :)

On Wednesday our playhouse (one that our Papa built about 20 years ago, that my cousins had used as well) arrived, along with it came an old car and a chair. We quickly got them cleaned up as Brayden was anxious to play! My little helper had just as much cleaning as he did playing. The house has a LOT of cleaning, scrubbing, pressure washing, fixing, painting needed...

After he washed the chair, then he decided to wash his face.

Clean or Dirty face? A little of both...

He was very excited about the car!

Gettin' clean after all that cleaning!

We enjoyed the zoo with some friends on Friday! Checking out the "fish" and a cute girl. His friend Adaline.

Brayden enjoyed exploring the zoo with Adaline, Lucy & Brayden Rupp.

We have some fun things planned for tomorrow too! And are especially looking forward to Dada coming home tomorrow evening. :)

Class of 2010!

Earlier this month we got to watch our little cousin (not so little anymore) graduate from Life Christian! We also watched one of his buddies, our family friend, James Kissler graduate. Our other cousin, Keegan Putnam, graduated the next day as well.

This was the first graduation that I have gone to wear I can say, "I remember when those kids were born!"

Walking to Nathan & Keegan's graduation party the Putnams. So nice to have family so close, we can just walk there!

Some more Putnam boys (and their new brother-in-law Ryan). Keegan, on the right, is the other graduate.

Us girls on the Putnam side stick together!

Brayden was non-stop action! Loved to run around outside and see all the people!

The guys enjoyed hours and hours of pickleball!

Wonderful Five Year Anniversary

Brett & I had the most wonderful five year anniversary celebration!

We had a last minute dinner get together with our some of our close friends. What do friends get to eat when they want to hang last minute? Exactly what the pregnant one is craving... :) Luckily, Kristina (also pregnant), showed up craving exactly what I had on the menu, breakfast! We had dutch babies, hashbrowns, bacon and strawberries, yum! Brett had to come to dinner really late so he didn't get to eat with us. He had a Woodlake Homeowners Meeting. During that meeting they nominated him to become the new Vice President of the HOA! Bebo and Grammy came to pick up Brayden for the weekend so we could have a relaxed morning, just the two of us, as we were getting ready to get out of town.

Every time Dad sees Quincy, he feels the need to torture her, hehe! Most of the time he just sits on her. He likes to think that he adopted her in highschool (being that she spent so much time at our house). I guess he pestered Julie & I for 18 years, so he feels the need to do 18 years of pestering to Quincy so that it can be official. Quincy starting coming around a lot at 15 years old, so this might go on till she's 33? :)

On our anniversary we first went up to Bellevue Square and did some shopping for our little boy AND our little girl! And had an early dinner to we could get going to the Salish in time for our massage appointments.

The view from our room at the Salish! So beautiful to look over the falls...

The "modern" five year anniversary gift is silver,
so Brett got me a really cute silver ring from Tiffany's!

Every anniversary I give Brett a shutterfly book of our last year together. I love watching him dive into it and talking about all the fun memories that we have had. He really loves these, he spent over 45 minutes going through each page.

Our massages were wonderful! The best part, I have to say, is when Brett fell asleep and started snoring!!! I got the giggles and waited until about the 5th snore before I shouted his name to wake him up. We were in a couples massage room.

Amazing FOUR course Country Breakfast! So much good food!

This was the view from our private table. Beautiful rainbows would show up with the mist would rise...

Checking out Snoqualmie Falls.

Our friends, David & Carly, celebrated their 7th anniversary the weekend before in Snoqualmie too! They tipped us off to a beautiful hike to see the Twin Falls!

It was a beautiful over two hour hike to get to the top! Good workout too!

Heading home with a treat! Both of us couldn't stop talking about how every thing was just perfect and how much fun we had! Looking forward to many more years together!

Middle of Many Projects...

I guess the home projects never really end! We remodeled our entire inside of our home before we moved in almost two years ago. Painted and landscaped the exterior about a year ago. Now we still have things going on over here and we have started to realize it's just part of owning a home. Looking back over our last (almost!) five years of marriage I find that we have never really just sat in a house without a project going on...

Project #1: Guest Room to Girl Nursery

Brett and Brayden helping me decide on the size of the stripes!

Bebo already painted the room for us! (THANKS DAD!)
I have been collecting the bedding, quilt, pillow, wall decor, etc. And also making a mobile to go over the nursery. Baby Girl is going to use Brayden's furniture and Brayen is going to get a full bed in a few weeks!

Project #2: Playhouse

My Papa (Mom's Dad) built a playhouse for myself, Julie and Greg. It is such a quality house that it lasted through our years of growing up, then my Dad's brother's family took it over and my four cousins got to use it. Now they are all grown up and we are looking forward to getting it back for Brayden & Baby Girl. Brett has the corner of the yard prepped and ready for the delivery which should be in the next week or so...

I will try to get some pictures of us in the playhouse from about 20 years ago. Julie and I would play in there for hours and invite our cousins, Joel and Michael over for sleepovers in it!
Brett had an assistant come out to help for a bit (in a light shirt and khakis!). It got really dirty, but they had lots of fun. I was inside and heard Brett yell to me, "Come outside with your camera, he is so cute!" Brayden was giggling so much as they toured the yard...

Above is a good shot of the area where the playhouse and the pool (just a little plastic one) are going to go. Once we are set all we need is some sunshine!

Project #3: Dog Run

A couple weeks ago we had the concrete poured. Last weekend Brett built most of the fence, just the gate is left to do. Brayden frequently requested, "See Dada? Go See Dada?" These are Sunday pictures (still in church clothes after his nap) of "Going to See Dada"...

We also turned our office into an office & guest room combined and have all Brayden's furniture ready to turn his nursery into a big boy bedroom... :)
