Middle of Many Projects...

I guess the home projects never really end! We remodeled our entire inside of our home before we moved in almost two years ago. Painted and landscaped the exterior about a year ago. Now we still have things going on over here and we have started to realize it's just part of owning a home. Looking back over our last (almost!) five years of marriage I find that we have never really just sat in a house without a project going on...

Project #1: Guest Room to Girl Nursery

Brett and Brayden helping me decide on the size of the stripes!

Bebo already painted the room for us! (THANKS DAD!)
I have been collecting the bedding, quilt, pillow, wall decor, etc. And also making a mobile to go over the nursery. Baby Girl is going to use Brayden's furniture and Brayen is going to get a full bed in a few weeks!

Project #2: Playhouse

My Papa (Mom's Dad) built a playhouse for myself, Julie and Greg. It is such a quality house that it lasted through our years of growing up, then my Dad's brother's family took it over and my four cousins got to use it. Now they are all grown up and we are looking forward to getting it back for Brayden & Baby Girl. Brett has the corner of the yard prepped and ready for the delivery which should be in the next week or so...

I will try to get some pictures of us in the playhouse from about 20 years ago. Julie and I would play in there for hours and invite our cousins, Joel and Michael over for sleepovers in it!
Brett had an assistant come out to help for a bit (in a light shirt and khakis!). It got really dirty, but they had lots of fun. I was inside and heard Brett yell to me, "Come outside with your camera, he is so cute!" Brayden was giggling so much as they toured the yard...

Above is a good shot of the area where the playhouse and the pool (just a little plastic one) are going to go. Once we are set all we need is some sunshine!

Project #3: Dog Run

A couple weeks ago we had the concrete poured. Last weekend Brett built most of the fence, just the gate is left to do. Brayden frequently requested, "See Dada? Go See Dada?" These are Sunday pictures (still in church clothes after his nap) of "Going to See Dada"...

We also turned our office into an office & guest room combined and have all Brayden's furniture ready to turn his nursery into a big boy bedroom... :)
