Peaking at our Baby Girl...

Here are a few pictures from our latest little girl "viewing"... First time big brother saw her! Grammy came along to lend a hand with Brayden. He normally doesn't come to the my doctor appointments, but we thought this would be a fun one to bring him to. Just as we thought, he spent about a minute looking at sister and then another minute talking about the fish mobile (you can see in the upper left corner of the picture) and then he was ready to run again! Thanks for the help "Mammy"!

Profile Picture

3D picture of her arm and hand. No good face pictures. Her face was blocked by my pelvic bone and we did quite a wiggling, but no luck with getting her to move her head.

Baby Girl Update

So as of yesterday our Dr. had concerns about the baby size. My belly was measuring, and has been measuring, two weeks behind schedule. For example, at my 32 week appointment, my belly was measuring the average size of 30 week belly. With Brayden, I also measured small, but still had a good size healthy baby. My doctor was thinking, all is PROBABLY okay and I am just carrying our girl similar to Brayden, but wanted to lean towards the side of being safe rather than sorry. One concern was that I was measuring small because the baby is small, possibly not getting enough nutrients, etc.

We had our ultrasound today and all is looking perfect! There is an "apgar" test that they do for babies before they are born, based on various things such as amount of fluid, movement, size, etc. Our little girl scored 8 out of 8! Size is no longer a concern as she measured to be about 5 lbs & 4 oz. and over 18 inches long! This size is comparable to the size of an average baby that is 36 weeks along (we are just 32 weeks along). Got some cute pictures that I will post soon! :)

Brayden & Baby Girl Updates

Brayden 21 Months Update:
Our little boy is so much fun and so full of energy! He is looking so big when he sits at our table and eats off his own plate. Anytime we are home he is asking to go "outside". Almost every day he is adding a new word to his vocabulary and putting together small sentences. He remembers so much it amazes me! Today I had a Dr. Appointment. My mom came along to hang out with Bray and take him to get a smoothie while I was with the Doctor. I told him before we left, "Want to go see Mammy?" and he nodded yes and said, "Yay! Mammy!". Then he paused, looked at me and asked, "And go see kitty?" My parent just got a little kitten and Brayden would like to play with her all day and night if he could. :)

He is also counting! It sounds something like, "One, Two, Three, Nine, Nine, Nine, Nine, TEN!". He is also counting to three in spanish, due to most toys have an english/spanish option. It's funny because he says, "Uno, Dos, Tres" much clearer than "One, Two, Three". It makes his Auntie Juju VERY proud, as she minored in Spanish at SPU.

He is also in love with all things that have a steering wheel. We don't go for a ride in the car without noticing every truck, bus and bike. He also loves sea-doo's, boats, trains, etc. He is just our little boy that is busy and mostly happy and on the go (one of his favorite phrases is "Ready, Set, GO! GO! GO!"). But he still has time to take breaks and give some really sweet snuggles and kisses. Every once and a while too, he will stand behind me as I sit on the couch and play with my hair and give "back rubs".

Baby Girl 32 Week Update:
I had my 32 week check up today. I am 32 weeks, 3 days today. Everything overall is looking great! She is just moving all the time and we are seeing little foot prints and kicks along my side. I am measuring the same exact size as I was for Brayden. However, that is about two weeks smaller than the average size. The doctor is not overly concerned, due to the fact that with my first pregnancy I always measured small but still had a healthy big baby. However, she doesn't want to just assume that is the case for this baby, so they are getting me in for an extra ultrasound tomorrow afternoon. Just want to make sure that it's just a small belly, not a baby that is too small for some reason. I will give an update and post ultrasound pictures sometime after the appointment!

Wonderful Baby Shower for Our Little Girl

My sister threw us a beautiful baby shower at her home in Seattle. Our baby girl was so spoiled with cute clothes and other things. We also felt so lucky to have so many good friends and family take time out of their sunny saturday to drive to Seattle to celebrate our little one on the way!

The table was gorgeous and the food was delicious! Grandma Lois brought the flowers and Quincy & Mom helped with the food.

Brayden was a little jealous and wanted to be in the picture with "Mama" & "Juju", so Grammy snapped a picture with him so he wouldn't feel left out...

Shortly after we arrived Uncle Craig stopped by to save Brayden from all the girls. It worked out so nicely to have him come and walk Brayden down to Greenlake for the afternoon! Brett has hardly had a free Saturday to get projects done (lots of weekend trips: California, Salish Lodge, Sun Lakes, Crescent Bar), so he was able to get a lot done at home! :)

We know Brayden had a good time because he came back with icecream on his face, dirt on his hands and napped the whole way home!

Fun Memory Game!

What a fun group of girls! All the "sitting on chairs" girls are expecting. Kristina due October, Katie due December and Terah due just a few days after me!

Summer = BBQ!

We had a good time entertaining friends for a BBQ! This was our annual "Camping Group" BBQ. One of my favorite things about summertime BBQ's is that I get a break from the kitchen! Our friends brought food and Brett did all the BBQing! We had a good time and lots of laughs.

Annual Bodine Vacation - Sun Lakes!

We had a wonderful time a couple weeks ago at Sun Lakes Resort in Eastern Washington!

We got on a summer trip every year with the Bodine side of the family. Unfortunately, Julie and Jacob already had plans to be in California. Greg also couldn't make it this year. Brett and I had a two bedroom house that was rented and we were the only ones staying in it, so we brought replacements! Quincy and Jake stepped in for Julie and Jacob. Kristina (Michael was traveling) stepped in for Greg!

We all had so much fun! Brayden loved having "his friends" along. It is so cute to hear him call them each by name. Kristina is "Kikis", Quincy is "Goose" (He is trying to say "Q", but Goose is much more fun so we just go with it now) and Jake is "Wii" (because Jake likes to the play the Wii when he comes over).

Here are a few random pictures. Kristina (our famous family photographer) has most of the pictures and has been mostly on the road since this trip, so I am still short a lot of photos...

I thought Brayden would snuggle up with me on the boat and snooze a little for his afternoon nap. All it took was a two minute walk down to the docks to get him to crash! He was out and surprised to wake up on the boat in the middle of the lake.

"Kikis" and I with our baby bellies!

There is Kikis & her camera!

Brayden loved the beach there.

Uncle Steve spent a lot of time holding Brayden while we were there. Every once and a while Bray would try to get down and Uncle Steve would just hold him. Brayden would tell me he is "stuck", and the two of them would just keep hanging out. :)

Grammy (aka Mammy) and Bebo took him for the majority of one of the days so I could hang out on the boat with all our friends and cousins. They had lots of fun! Bebo even took him for a sea-doo ride to come say hi to us all on the boat. His favorite words this trip were "BIG BUS!" (which was every motor home he passes), "Sea-Doo" and "Boat".

Brett's getting pretty good at wake-surfing!

Our cousin Karli was the only one brave enough to take Brett up on a Sea-Doo ride!

We get together as a family every few months to celebrate birthdays. This time it was a birthday party for Mom, Dad, Ryan, Charlotte and Terri. And of course Brayden hung in there so he could be sung to and blow out the candles... :)

Father's Day Weekend

Wow! Lot's of updates to catch up on...

Father's Day Weekend started out with Brett in California cheering on our cousin Andrew and his caddy, our little brother Greg. He had a fun time with friends and family!

Brayden was VERY excited to see "Dada" and "Bebo's BIG BUS"! We went to Mom & Dad's to pick up Brett on Saturday evening. Brett had flown down there, but he rode back up in Dad's motorhome with quite a number of family and friends.

Bebo's Bus is involved in daily conversation around here lately. We just got back from a weekend vacation in Eastern Washington and the "Big Bus" never got old... :)

We had to wear the "bus jammies" to go see the bus that Dada came in on.

Brett got home Saturday evening, so on Sunday morning we got to celebrate Father's Day together! Brett woke up to his favorite breakfast, my great grandma's dutch babies, and his father's day video.

Brayden gave him a picture of himself. We went and got professional pictures taken of Brayden. He had a Michael Jordan basketball outfit on (the one that I gave Brett two years ago when I was pregnant with Brayden) and also some really cute Nike shoes (that Brett had picked out for Brayden). He was holding Brett's basketball, I will have to scan and upload it. It's so cute! And Brett loved it! He got some other fun treats too.

A tired Brayden modeling his "Father's Day Breakfast" t-shirt.

We went to church and then went up to Southcenter where we met up with Brett's parents and brother for a nice father's day lunch. Then we went up to the Jacob & Julie's for a day of relaxing, watching golf and dinner with family!
