Summa time!

It's been weeks since I have sat down to do a post.  Summertime has been busy!  And so fun!

I have been working part time for an amazing gym in Fircrest called Figures!  I have really enjoyed it!  We also have been painting, and painting and painting...  I used to like painting, but we just wrapped up our project and at the moment I hate it.  The thought of painting our house seemed simple, but all that cutting in was so time consuming.  Brett and I did it all ourselves and it is a good feeling to check it off the list!  We also have been having lots of fun with family and friends!  Here are a couple highlights of the last month!

Brayden was dedicated at Life Center!

Our good friends Terry and Kristal Mensonides had another little boy (their second)!  Kristal and brand new handsome baby Tate are on the right.

Jordan and Jen Lee had a beautiful baby girl!
Little Vienna Loren Lee is in Carly's arms on the right.

We had a BBQ with our "camping friends" to get some planning done before the big vacation!  All we have is baby toys so Brett took this big box and turned it into a fort for the kids.  Both Coleson and Gunnar are 2 years old and they had a pretty good time!  So did Bray!  I was surprised at how he was playing with them!  He is becoming less of a little baby and more of a little boy every day.

Our friend's Lori and Eric were married at a beautiful outdoor venue!

A picture of Brayden, dancing with his date, Cora Huff!

My favorite boys!  I love them!

Brayden LOVES Brandy...

First dip in the lake!

Brayden is becoming such a busy boy and into everything!  A quick learner though.  I decided that I didn't want to baby proof the entire house.  There are some things that need to be put away, but also I think it is good for Bray to learn boundaries.  First boundary that was set was that dog food is not people food!  We have Brandy's dog food in the laundry room and keep that door shut most of the time, but occasionally when I am doing laundry and he is scooting around, he will wander in there and go straight for it!  It took one session of telling him "no" and a couple little slaps on the hand and he learned really quick what no means.  He has tested me once since then with just putting his hand above the dog food and looking at me.  Then I say "no" and he moves on to much more exciting things like looking into the dryer...  =)  I am soo excited about how quick he is learning!  He went for something else a couple days later and I just told him "no" and he left it alone.  It's such a grey area of discipline when they are this young so I am glad that it is going well so far!   =)

Anyway, speaking of Brayden discovering new things,  below is a picture of his discovering CD's!  He figured out how to open the cabinet.  He just likes to look at them (as of right now) so I let him browse...  =)

Greg put his socks on Brayden and they thought it was pretty silly...

Swimming in our pool!

I can't believe how hot it got here last week!  We don't have AC so we spent a lot of time at Bebo and Grammy's keeping cool...

A few videos of our 9 month old...

Brayden had his 9 month check up today at the doctors!  Looking long and lean!  85% for height and 45% for weight.

He is such a BUSY boy!  Just two days ago I watched him try to open our bottom cabinets of our entertainment center .  He also has found that he enjoys removing the forced air heating vent.  He is pulling himself up on everything he can and scooting (no crawling yet) all over the place!  The one thing that he is known for is his SMILES!!!  He loves to smile!

Here are some videos.

Below you can see that Brandy is really the PERFECT dog for kids...  After I took this video he actually stepped on her face and she didn't move.  It may look like animal abuse, but remember she can move at any time.  =)

Typically when he wakes up he will come to standing and just "talk" until I get to him.

Our "Scooter".  The left arm and the right leg do most of the work!  You can kinda tell from this video.  Silly boy!

My favorite video.  This is only a glimpse of the giggling that went on all evening as we prepped for more painting...

Independence Day!

Another fun 4th of July!  Perfect weather and good times with family and friends...

Brayden LOVES to pull up and stand on anything he can!

Grandma was quick to offer to help Bray wind down for his first nap.  She is good at that.

Trying out his new pool!

Auntie Julie looks like she is about to join him!

For some reason he really wanted to eat the grass, silly boy!

Quincy was such a good driver!

Ah, the newlyweds!  Cute...

Brett is LOVING wake-surfing!

Kristina and I on Jake's boat

Matt, Brett and Michael.

They are smiling on the outside, but on the inside they are saying, "Please don't hurt us Bruce!!!"

Kristina's camera is so great!  This picture was taken in the dark.  We really didn't think she could see us...

Family Getaway to Leavenworth!

It was quite careful packing, but we all fit nicely on our way to Leavenworth.  Brandy had her spot in the back and entertained Bray on the drive out there!

We love the little bavarian village!

"Dada, can I have your hat?"

Highlight of the trip: White Water Rafting!!!!!
(Thanks for babysitting Grandpa Donn and Grandma Geri!)

Fun Father's Day!

We had such a fun day on Brett's first official father's day.

Started off with church in the morning.  We then went up to Green Lake (near Brett's brothers house) and had lunch with Brett's parents and brother and then a short walk next to the lake.  Conveniently, Julie and Jacob's house is in the same neighborhood.  We went to Julie and Jacob's and decided to go for another walk and ran into Mark, Elaine and Craig!  Then we ended the day with dinner with all the Bodine's.

Had to get a family picture with Brett and Bray's matching shirts!

Another with "Papa", although Bray was too silly to be still.

The "babies" getting to know each other...

Wake up Greg!  Or we will put a plate on your head and take a picture...  =)

Brett is teaching Bray what to do with a spoon...

The BOW guys...

Uncle Steve was very popular with Bray.  We were thinking it had something to do with the hat/wig...
