18 Months - Sienna

Our Sienna is 18 months!

She is picking up new words every day.  Some of her favorites now are:
"Socks & Shoes":  She loves to put her shoes on, put my shoes on, anyones shoes on!
"Mama", "Dada", "Ball", "Basketball" (Ba-ba-ball), "Baby", "No-no", "Num-num" (for food).

She is just now starting to pair words together.
Most common is "Mama Up?  Mama Up?" or "Bye Dada!"

Sienna is my GOOD eater.  She loves to hold her own bowl and can finish her meal much quicker than Brayden.  She especially loves her smoothies, bananas and any fresh bread or muffin.

Sienna is so sweet and loves to take care of people.  Anytime she is eating, she makes sure to offer all around her a bite.  She also has so much compassion.  I had a minor procedure (two pre-melanoma skin spots removed) and the stitched were about 5 inches long.  She asks to see the bandaids multiple times a day and say, "Owie Mama, Oh no..." and will pat my shoulder.  Often times when I snuggle her in her chair at night, and rub her back, she will run my shoulder or arm too, look up at me and take her pacifier out for a slobbery kiss!

She has an incredibly adventurous side, more so than Brayden!  She doesn't fear much.  And loves to follow Brayden on his adventures.  She thinks he is hilarious and Brayden thinks Sienna is "cute" and "so great"!  Brayden is always telling me that she is so cute and the other day he told me, "My sis is just so great Mom!"  They are really a pair!

As much as she loves the sandbox with her brother, she is also a very girly girl!  She doesn't want to leave her room without a necklace or bow and she loves taking care of her baby dolls.  She will often walk around patting a baby doll as it is held close to her.

Still no interest in TV!  Maximum amount of time watched has been clocked at 3 minutes total.  She would much prefer to do what I am doing.  Holding a plastic bowl and spatula as a cook, or pushing her toy vacuum around as I vacuum.  She likes to be busy busy!

Daddy has a sparkle in his eye when she is around and on nights when he is home in time to put her to bed, he always comes downstairs and tells me "She is just so sweet and loving.  I can't believe how adorable she is."

We just love our little girl more than we can put into words!

{My friend took this picture of her at a party last weekend}
